This painting was inspired by the sculptures of Ellen Jewett. It was another one that started as one of a set of paintings I did for a friend's play. It was one of my first larger scale finger paintings with some added inks. When she was done I asked for the painting back. After turning it around a few times it occurred to me that it would be a great base for the Ellen Jewett inspired design I wanted to do. I ended up using some additional acrylics, inks and pastels to create this design, and really loved how it turned out. The painting sold and the design lives on for you to enjoy.
